Nice to find that out today after two prescriptions of antibiotics for an infection I didn't have... nice to find that out after it's too late to take Tamiflu.... nice to find out now that I've given it to Alex as well (the day before we were supposed to leave for Disneyland).
UGH! Picked up Tamiflu for everyone but me today. Hopefully we got Alex in the first 48 hours of the onset of the flu and Jeff and Clara are on it as a preventative.
Jeff and I are going to have our discussion later tonight on what we think we're going to do about Disney... its probably a good thing we didn't tell the kids about the trip.

I feel like crap...
lovely, huh? I think I'm paying for not getting a flu shot this year (thankfully the kids got them). I started feeling yucky last night and woke up this morning (5am) with a fever of 101.7. I'm going back to bed until Jeff gets home from the airport... then I'm going to the doctor.
I just CAN'T be sick! My photo entries are due tomorrow, Clara has a birthday party, Jeff and I have theater tickets (my birthday present), I've got to do two photo class assignments this weekend, we have symphony tickets on Sunday AND we're going to Disneyland on Wednesday!!!
Going to crawl back into bed and feel sorry for myself. Pathetic, huh?

Look at the goodies...
... I got today at Target! Thank you Ange for suggesting I check the dollar spot for items to match my office! Not only did I get three of the magnetic giant paperclips, but I got four little two drawer boxes and two cool little tea light holders (Big Ben and the Eiffel tower!! - which are perfect since my office has a travel theme). The big blue boxes and the red leather ones came from elsewhere in the store. The best part is... that during the excavation of my desk last week I found TWO Target gift certificates totaling $30!!!
We had a good day of school as well. I used to dread the days that our cleaning lady came because we had to be out of the house and got almost no school done... but two weeks ago I discovered the joys of homeschooling at Starbucks. What could be better?? However, today it was crowded and we had to wait for a table... but we got one and Alex did his math test.
After that we made a trip to Hobby Lobby... man, that was dangerous! They had just finished inventory and they had TONS of stuff on clearance.... I'm talking rows and rows of clearance. I kept it in check and we got a couple of science experiment kits for next to nothing.
Well... Jeff is out of town this week and I'm in charge so I guess I should get the kids started toward bed!

Yay!
My prints for the competition arrived TODAY!!! One less thing to stress about... now I just need to label them and drop them off.

Wow... I'm bad at this! :-)
Okay... I need to get in the habit of writing more!
Well... I survived my Thursday and it wasn't bad at all! We had a great time at our photography playdate and we played some more with the infamous green sheet (see my banner picture at the top). That was probably the best $2.99 I ever spent on a backdrop :-) I'll have to post links to the pictures we all took... I didn't take many myself as it was my house and I play with my backdrops all of the time.
Today is a wonderful gray, rainy, lazy kind of day. I have some scrapping to do but I don't feel too guilty doing it with the weather the way it is.
I finally ordered my prints for the local photography contest I enter. I'm just hoping I get them back in time to get them turned in before the deadline. I just realized this morning that the results will probably be posted the day we head to Disneyland... but that's okay. Jeff said we can bring a laptop and check while we're there but I'm not sure how badly I'll *need* to know. Oh who am I kidding... I'll *need* to know and if I don't do well... at least I'll be at the happiest place on earth so I'll just have to get over it.
In other news... I've decided to completely reorganize my "office". It doubles as our guest room and up until now I've felt this odd need to keep it very guest room-like. Well... honestly, usewise it's my office at least 90% of the time and a guest room for less than 10% of the time so I should change the functionality of it a bit.... don't you think? I took some "before" pictures but I'm embarrassed to show them... I didn't decide to take them until I had taken almost every last object/scrap of paper off of my desk and piled (that's using the term loosely) it all on the floor. Plus, I even took a picture of my closet in here (gasp!). That place is a pit... I have all kinds of garbage in there... a giant flower pot I used as a prop for Clara's 3 year old pictures, the remains of a backdrop stand I made out of pvc pipe almost two years ago (and replaced with a real one just a couple months later) and tons and tons of just misc. junk. I feel the urge to buy boxes and bins to store stuff... but honestly, being digital with both photography and scrapping... what in the world do I really need to store???
Ugh! The cleaning lady comes on Tuesday so I guess I should at least think about what I'm going to do with my piles. Oh... the walls in here are kind of a robin's egg blue and the curtains are cardinal red.... so if you know of any cool organizational stuff that would work with those colors please pass the info on this way! Thanks!

Procrastinating...
It's a really bad habit of mine. I have a huge "to do" list and am I doing any of it? Of course not! Tomorrow is going to be one CRAZY day.... not bad crazy, just busy crazy. Jeff is out of town and when he is, I barely make it to Clara's preschool by 9:00am to drop her off... but tomorrow I will also be in charge of my friend's daughter (who is in Clara's class)... she's dropping her off here at 8:30. Then I have to rush home because at 10ish, I'm having a "photography playdate" with two women from the 2peas photography board! We've been planning this for a while so it should be fun.
However, I did schedule this on the day that Alex starts his homeschool ice skating class at the mall. So we'll be rushing to the mall in order to get him fitted for skates and on the ice in time for class. The class ends at 1:30 and I have to be at Clara's school to pick her up by two. From there we go straight to the library to meet my friend and her two sons (also homeschoolers). Ack!!! At least we went to martial arts on Tuesday so we're not going there too tomorrow! And thankfully, Jeff will be back tomorrow morning!!!
Okay... off to do something productive!
