This is the damage from last night's fall.... not too bad... could have been much worse! These dark winter days are depressing me in regards to photography.... these were shot right in front of our big sliding glass door, ISO 1600, f/stop of 1.8 and STILL only had a ss of 125... sigh.
Well, they look gorgeous on here (the pictures, that is, NOT the bruises - poor thing!!) So sorry about her fall. I'm sure it was one of the terrible "mommy moments" - ugh, hate those.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned kid's lit - I read it too! You've probably read them, but the Anne of Green Gables books are a wonderful read.
If you like fantasy/dragons stuff, there's a series of smaller books (out of a larger series of longer books) by Anne McCaffrey called Dragonsinger, Dragonsong, and Dragondrums. They tie in to the larger series, but can be read on there own. Confession time - I used to be a BIG fantasy reader (me and all the geeks, I know).
There's also a great juvenile lit book by Robin McKinley, but I can't find it or remember the name right now. I'll look for it and let you know. Again, it's somewhat fantasy-based.
