Before the orthodontist....
and after....
Braces are off!!! The expander is gone!!! She currently has a clear retainer and will get a regular one in about a month. She's so excited to have her braces off so she can eat all of the "forbidden food". It was so cool... her orthodontist gave her a braces off goodie bag filled with all of the stuff she couldn't have while she had her braces....
All of that sugar went along with our project of the day... gingerbread houses!
Alex, Clara and Grandma started construction on the big house....
Not sure why, but Alex had to puff out his cheeks every time he was piping icing...
Then it was time to get the decorations ready....
(yes... my little muffin tin has definitely seen better days)Using the little house Clara made at school as a guide, they also made graham cracker houses....
Alex decorated the side of his with a face...
... see the eyes, nose, mustache, mouth and tongue?Clara made strings of Christmas lights to decorate her roof....
Clara and I then had to scoot off to her last dance class of the year.... but when we came back, it was time to finish off their little houses and decorate the big one...
I think this was the front.And this is the back with a wreath above the door...
