We got our first real snow of the season Saturday. The kids were so excited to wake up to a layer of white coating everything! They were outside in it by about a quarter to 8... they just couldn't wait! I was surprised... even Mango enjoyed it! She wasn't so sure at first and then she went romping down the block... sticking to the lawns versus the shoveled sidewalks.
She wasn't sure about the falling snow though... and kept shaking it off...
Clara and Jeff left out on their daddy/daughter Christmas shopping day... leaving Alex and I to hang out together. He wasn't feeling 100% and two shows later so he just took it easy. Jeff and Clara hit Michigan Avenue and then had lunch before coming home. The girl sure loves her special time with her dad!
That night, Jeff took Alex to his evening show and stayed to "wrangle" kids backstage. I stayed home with Clara. We watched some Christmas specials she had recorded... and then, somehow, we ended up on Etsy looking at dog stuff. It was there that she saw that people were making and selling doggie sleeping bags and she decided Mango needed one. So, she got out some of her leftover fleece and started stitching away....
It actually turned out pretty well, but Mango isn't so sure about being stuffed in a bag :-) She hung out in it for a while, but then ditched it. I think she might like it better if it were bigger, but Clara didn't have that much fleece left. The ones on Etsy that were for dogs Mango's size were a little bit bigger than what we made. If you want to see an adorable/hilarious little doggie sleeping sack... check this one out. It cracks me up!
