December 3rd

Clara had the day off from school, so we had a relaxing, low key morning. And we finally got to something we'd been meaning to do for a long time.... we gave Mango a bath....

Once she's out, she shakes non-stop to get the water off....
.... she shakes while she's walking and occasionally will shake herself right over.

She looks twice as big around once she's clean and all fluffed up...
After lunch I promised the kids that I would take them ice skating. They've never really been ice skating together before (well... just once last year when we went skiing but it didn't really count).
I hadn't seen Clara skate since last year, she's actually doing quite well.
It was funny, before we left, Alex was talking to Clara about how he was going to teach her to skate "the right way". He was pretty convinced that he was the better skater. However, as you can see below, she pretty much left him in the dust...

Maybe two days of skating in a row was just too much for the boy.... or maybe he just doesn't know how to skate as well as he thinks he does :-)

After skating, we grabbed a hot chocolate and vanilla steamer from Starbucks before dropping Clara off at dance. Alex and I headed home, grabbing dinner along the way. He had another show last night.
